why they don't announce a release date? They know people are anxiously awaiting this game, why not just give us a rough idea when the heck it's coming out, can they possibly still have no clue?

The media was covering Halo3 like crazy even before the gift bags, any gaming site or magazine will tell you that Halo on the front page equals hits and sales. I would imagine they sent them the gift bags to thank them for all their support and coverage leading up to the release. Dude, give it up, Bungie is one of the best developers out there, Halo's success says it all. Those gift bags of Halo paraphernalia was hardly enough to sway journalists reviews. At least they didn't try to tell reviewers to leave anything negative out of their reviews like the MGS4 developers did when it launched, talk about nerve. seems like just another continuation of the saga, I dont think this game is supposed to be epic or bring out the power of the 360 or anything special. If you keep that in mind then you probably won't be disappointed. I think they are saving all the breakthrough graphics and tech for Halo Reach, this is just something for true halo fans, guys like me who can't get enough of the story and atmosphere. MS and Bungie even said they don't expect huge sales.

what Microsoft considers PAL and what Sony considers PAL are two different things, Sony includes quite a few countries Microsoft does not in PAL. Also, stop with the 360 came out a year earlier BS, everyone alive expected PS3 to rape 360 in sales from day one no matter what, PS3 had the 100 million PS2 users and all that crap, MS is the underdog. So the fact that the consoles are within 1million of each other is a huge win for MS and a massive loss for Sony, Sony has lost gobs of market share...
